In this role, you will join the bank's accounting team, contributing directly to financial and reporting activities by preparing financial statements, maintaining accounting records, assisting with regulatory filings, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and industry regulations. You will work closely with senior accounting staff and management to deliver accurate, timely financial information that supports informed decision-making. This position requires on-site work.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
- MIS degree preferred.
- CPA or CPA candidate required.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred.
- 1-3 years of banking experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, typing, 10-key, and utilization of the internet is required.

HOURS OF AVAILABILITY: Regularly Scheduled Hours/Week: 40 (+) hours per week | Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm | *Extended working hours may be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy of financial data and documentation.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and support regulatory reporting (e.g., Call Reports FFIEC 041/051), ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Compile and validate data for regulators, auditors, and internal reporting needs.
- Develop and maintain management reports, including variance analysis and key performance metrics.
- Assist with board and executive reporting, providing insights into financial trends and variances.
- Support ALCO reporting, including interest rate risk, liquidity metrics, and balance sheet analysis.
- Assist in monitoring key financial ratios (e.g., liquidity, capital, and loan-to-deposit) and compiling data for modeling.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and applicable banking regulations (FDIC, OCC, Federal Reserve).
- Assist internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Recommend and support process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting system enhancements.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes and maintain organized financial records.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
- Protect all customer information and bank operations through strict confidentiality.
- Operate computer software and equipment, telephone, scanner, and copier, and develop proficiency with internal banking systems.
- Maintain reliable transportation, punctual attendance, and the ability to work on-site with extended hours when necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
