Production Planner 

Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team.  The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and production planning principles specific to the DoD.

The interface between engineering and production:

  • Creating work orders in our MRP tool.
  • Evaluating design for manufacturability before production begins.
  • Working with inventory & purchasing to ensure parts are ordered. Track outstanding part orders as they pertain to open work orders.
  • Answering questions from technicians and QA on the shop floor.
  • Supporting customer meetings, as required.
  • Creating packing lists for final deliveries or on-site installations.
  • Working with the Production Manager to ensure all deliverable requirements are met on-time.
 
Position Requirements
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production planning, preferably within the DoD.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials management, and production workflows.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with defense industry standards and regulations such as ISO9001 and AS9100 is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
 
Salary Range 65K-85K and will be commensurate with experience  
Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time  
Level of Clearance Required Secret Eligible  
Amount of Travel Minimal
