Desktop Support Technician

Description Duties include:

1. Repair or replace any hardware including parts related to desktop, laptop, and mobile devices including any applicable peripherals (i.e. validators, mag-strip readers, etc.)
2. Repair or replace any hardware including parts related to HP Laser Printers and Multi-Function Device's
3. Install / Troubleshoot / Repair / Configure software on Client owned computing equipment.
4. Partner with the appropriate Level 3 support team in the maintenance and repair of servers.
5. Prepare equipment for redeployment or disposal.
6. Assist Client to remediate information technology security vulnerabilities
Position Requirements


  • Able to manage multiple issues simultaneously.
  • Must be able to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences.
  • Operates well in a fast paced/high stress environment.
  • Functional knowledge using and troubleshooting Windows XP/7 Operating System, Microsoft Office 2007/2010, Internet, printer, core applications and networks.
  • Solid hardware and software trouble-shooting/resolution skills.
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Must be able to navigate and troubleshoot desktop issues in a locked down environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Organized and detailed communication with excellent people skills.
  • Experience with client escalation and problem management.
  • Scripting Experience.
  • Microsoft Desktop Support Certifications.
  • 2-4 years Desktop Support Experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Candidates should have a large scale enterprise support experience.
