ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Schedules, cancels, and reschedules patient appointments. Documents all vital information pertaining to the appointment as necessary. Condenses physician's schedules as needed. Directs incoming calls to appropriate departments as needed. Works and completes various tasks (flags, registration, referrals, voice mails etc.). Other duties as assigned per the need of the organization and within scope of position.   Position Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Skill in working with an EMR system, athenaPractice preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure. Ability to provide quality customer service. Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others. Ability to maintain professionalism at all times. Skill with working with multi-line telephone system. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year of centralized scheduling in a medical office or healthcare setting strongly preferred. Strong time management skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal, and written communication skills. Cardiology terminology helpful.
