Our network of community-based physicians work closely with the physicians at Stony Brook Medicine, Stony Brook University Hospital, Affiliated community hospitals and with other medical professionals to enhance the coordination of the medical care for every patient in the communities we serve. Responsibilities: Responsible for performing overnight sleep testing for a pulmonary practice. Carefully preparing for the sleep study prior to the patients arrival. Explaining the procedure to the patient. Calibrate and conduct appropriate sleep testing. Opportunities for daytime responsibilities including scoring the study, preparing reports, mask interface fitting and desensitization to PAP therapy. $45.00-$50.00 per hour   Category Healthcare   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   Location Pulmonology - New York Pulmonary Consultants   Full-Time/Part-Time Part-Time   Position Requirements Required Qualifications: Must be either a certified respiratory therapist and/or RPSGT (Registered polysomnography technician)   Physical Demands: May spend a great deal of their professional day walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies. Ability to lift 20 pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients or objects may involve lifting of up to 50 pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds.
