Business Analyst

Description

•  Attend daily operations calls to obtain background information on recent outages

•  Independently research and draft weekly reports with the background and root cause

   details for any missed SLAs

•  Research and document  details for major outages outlining the outage details, root

   cause analysis and corrective actions and create Wiki article / executive summary

•  Independently research, compile and distribute reports for the weekly and monthly

   service performance reviews with internal organizations

   o  Provide trend analysis on chronic assets, business impact due to outages, and

       monthly incident, change and problem management metrics

   o  Participate in weekly and monthly service performance reviews

•  Maintain a shared drive, posting final versions of monthly reports and backup details for

   access by all team members

•  Other business analyst activities as assigned in supporting Enterprise Relationship

   Manager initiatives

 

 

 
Position Requirements Preferred skills/knowledge:
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong background in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel (macros, VLOOKUP
and other advanced functions) and Powerpoint.
• Strong communication skills
• A working knowledge of database reporting with the ability to update or edit existing
reports using Business Objects or a similar database application. Ability to create
reports from scratch is desired, but not required.
• Experience or background in ITIL or Operating System terminology and functionality is a
plus
• Six Sigma terminology or Green Belt training is a plus
