Position Summary The Certified Pharmacy Technician is certified in the State of South Carolina and supports the Director of Pharmacy Services in the daily operations of the pharmacy department. This role assists with medication preparation, inventory management, and pharmacy support functions in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care facilities. Responsibilities Assist with daily pharmacy operations under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy Services. Prepare, package, and label medications in accordance with established procedures. Maintain accurate medication records and documentation. Assist with medication inventory, ordering, storage, and expiration monitoring. Support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing pharmaceutical services. Communicate with pharmacists and healthcare staff to promote safe medication practices. Key Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Current Pharmacy Technician certification and registration in the State of South Carolina required. Certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or another Board of Pharmacy–approved credentialing program required. Must maintain certification and complete continuing education requirements as required by the State of South Carolina. Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
