Abstraction includes medications, allergies, past medical problems, procedures, surgeries, family history, social history, and pregnancies based on the provider's office notes.   Job Duties & Essential Functions: Receives selected identified paper medical records to be abstracted daily. Collects key information from the patient's medical record and transcribes that into discrete fields in EMR. Abstraction includes medications, allergies, past medical problems, procedures, surgeries, family history, social history, clinical alerts, and pregnancies based on the provider office notes. Familiar with all parts of medical record and chart review. Reviews abstract informtion timely. Abstract information with a high degree of accuracy. Salary Range: $17-$19 per hour   Category Business Support   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   Location SB Administrative Services, LLC   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Position Requirements Required Education & Qualifications: Must have strong medical terminology experience. High level attention to detail.   Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as an EMR Abstractor preferred. Cerner experience. Physical Demands: May spend a great deal of their professional day walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as we ll as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies. Ability to lift 20 pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients or objects may involve lifting of up to 50 pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds.
