Description

Peabody Properties seeks a Financial Analyst to join its property management team in Fenway Area, MA.

The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the property management team through accurate financial data management, reporting, and analysis. This position works closely with Property Managers and Portfolio leadership to ensure financial information is properly recorded, maintained, and reported in a timely and accurate manner.

The Financial Analyst assists with financial tracking, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, invoice processing, delinquency monitoring, and budgeting support while maintaining organized and accurate financial records.

 

Responsibilities of the Position

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Process accounts payable by reviewing invoices, entering invoices in a timely manner, and assigning appropriate General Ledger (GL) codes within Spend Management.
• Support accounts receivable functions including monitoring tenant balances, reviewing housing delinquency and delinquency reports, and assisting with follow-up as needed.
• Prepare and maintain weekly delinquency reports and provide updates to management.
• Process and track check payments while maintaining accurate financial records.
• Enter and maintain financial data within Spend Management systems and other financial software platforms.
• Review financial data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation for management review.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with the budgeting process by compiling financial data and supporting budget preparation.
• Support financial reporting and analysis for assigned properties or portfolios.
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial and resident information.
• Provide administrative and financial support to Property Management and Portfolio Operations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements of the Position

• Knowledge of financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and delinquency monitoring.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Solid administrative, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

 

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required with a minimum of 3 years of financial, accounting, or property management related experience. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with RealPage OneSite, Spend Management systems, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Experience working with property financials, budgeting, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and financial reporting is strongly preferred.

 

Compensation and Benefits:
