Share Email Opening Title Integration Engineering Aide Intern - Summer 2026 (2026-002 TFT)  Astronics Subsidiary Astronics Advanced Electronic Systems (AES)   Location Kirkland, WA   Description Astronics Advanced Electrical Systems (AES) is seeking an Integration Engineering Aide Intern for Summer 2026 to join our high-performing Development Test Engineering Team within our Airborne Power Control (APC) product line group in Kirkland, WA. This is an on-site position. Candidates local to the greater Seattle/Kirkland, WA area highly desired. Relocation support is not available for this position. The Integration Engineering Aide Internship is a paid, full-time, summer position where the intern is considered a team member who will learn and contribute during the assignment. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Under the supervision of experienced Integration Engineers, you will be responsible for integration, development and test engineering activities to support various products and processes which may include: Provide technical assistance to senior staff in support of current programs. Participate in new project development as assigned. Perform circuit analysis to assist in troubleshooting Process and review test data to ensure accuracy and present results to the engineering team. Become familiar with company standards and procedures. Become familiar with test equipment and design. Learn Astronics values and behaviors MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience: Requires being an Electrical Engineering student currently enrolled in a college/university program, with 3 years of college level courses completed. Experienced in performing circuit analysis to assist in troubleshooting. Skills & Competencies: Knowledge of operation of standard lab equipment to perform circuit board test, unit test and troubleshooting. Solid command of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, OneNote) Proactive bias for action, but also self-directed and willing to take direction and/or seek input from senior technical staff as required. Attention to detail Multi-tasker Able to organize effectively Clear, effective, and efficient written and oral communication Moderate problem solving Deductive reasoning and information processing of complex inputs EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible. An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing pre-employment background check and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis. Intern Base Salary is $28.00 ~ $30.00 per hour dependent on college level courses completed.
