Description

Brock & Scott, PLLC, a regional law firm representing financial institutions and creditors’ rights clients, is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Paralegal to support its foreclosure practice. The ideal candidate will have experience managing high-volume files, drafting legal documents, and working closely with courts, lenders, and third-party vendors to ensure matters progress efficiently and in compliance with applicable laws and timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Mail and original document processing
  • E-filing
  • Preparation of documents for service, and monitoring service completion
  • Mediation support to designated attorney
  • Pre-trial and Trial preparation in connection with Judgment
  • Monitoring and updating of lender/servicer systems of record to ensure compliance
 
Position Requirements

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

 

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred
  • Paralegal Certification preferred; or, 2+ years of working experience as a paralegal

 

Compensation Details:  $22.00-$25.00/hr. -We are prepared to negotiate a competitive compensation package and are open to discussing salary expectations in alignment with industry standard, salary expectations and current compensation

The compensation amount is not guaranteed. Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate. This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position, however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, experience, and qualifications.

Benefits Details

Brock & Scott, PLLC offers an attractive benefit package to full-time employees at the 90-day introductory period.  The insurance portion includes medical, dental, voluntary life, voluntary vision, and critical illness, all at competitive rates.  The Firm also provides a basic life insurance policy in the amount of one time your annual salary (with a minimum of $25,000 and a maximum of $200,000.00) at no cost.
