We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supervisor / Shift Lead to oversee daily operations within a fast-paced Quick Service Restaurant (QSR). The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food preparation and guest services, and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences. This role involves supervising staff, managing shift activities, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining overall operational efficiency to provide an outstanding dining experience.
Duties:
Lead and supervise restaurant staff during assigned shifts, including training new team members and providing ongoing development opportunities.
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring quality standards are met consistently.
Manage POS systems such as TOAST POS for accurate order processing and cash handling.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and control food and beverage costs.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all areas of the restaurant.
Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours.
Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels.
Assist in managing shift schedules, staffing levels, and operational procedures to optimize productivity.
Support management in implementing policies related to food handling, safety, and hospitality standards.
Participate in staff training sessions focused on culinary techniques, food safety, and customer service excellence.
Experience:
Proven supervisory or team management experience within the food industry, preferably in quick service, casual dining, or fine dining environments.
Extensive background in food preparation, kitchen management, or restaurant operations is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage shift responsibilities efficiently.
Familiarity with POS systems such as TOAST POS is preferred.
Experience in inventory control, budgeting, and food safety protocols is advantageous, although not required.
Strong communication skills with a focus on team collaboration and customer service excellence. Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00 per hour. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc. This salary is accompanied by a performance-based discretionary quarterly bones based on budget goals and work performance.
