Description

JOB SUMMARY:  The Safe House Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall administrative and operational management of the Safe House.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee operational aspects of the Safe House facility to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Review and produce statistical program reports monthly, quarterly or annually as required.
  • Coordinate purchase of services and/or new items as needed.
  • Schedule household repairs utilizing volunteers, community service workers, or maintenance.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of agency vehicles.
  • Review shopping list and shop for groceries as needed.
  • Submit monthly report to supervisor.
  • Ensure monthly fire drill is conducted and documented.
  • Keep file of warranties and instruction manuals for all appliances/equipment.
  • Maintain file of invoices of all purchases and log all expenditures.
  • Monitor Safe House food budgets & bills
  • Manage donations to the Safe House
  • Approve purchases and sign receipts
  • Hotline coverage as needed
  • Provide direct services to residential clients when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions.
  • Hold weekly house meetings with clients.
  • Additional tasks as needed

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: 

  • Basic computer and software skills and experience
  • Complete work with accuracy and meet deadlines
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; understand and follow directions
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, families, caregivers, service providers and staff
  • Knowledge of community resources is highly desirable
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  any of the following:

  • BA degree desired. Minimum High School diploma and 1 year of experience.
  • Strong organizational skills desired. Previous work experience with victims of domestic violence desired.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED:  Valid driver’s license is required.

MANDATED PHDVS PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:  Providence House is a 24-hour residential crisis program, and as such requires staffing at all times. When accepting a position with this agency it is important to know that the regular shift at the time of hiring is subject to change during the course of your employment, and that at times of staff emergencies or special events you may be required to fill shifts other than (instead of) your regular shift.  This may include holidays.
