Astronics-PECO, located in picturesque Clackamas, Oregon near the foothills of Mt. Hood, designs, certifies, manufactures, and sells a wide range of products to commercial, government, and military markets throughout the world. The Max-Viz enhanced visions systems (EVS) are designed and certified for use as an improvement to safety by a vast array of airplanes, helicopters, and unmanned-aerial-vehicles in the commercial, government, and military marketplace. PECO-Controls are well established temperature control devices designed for applications where high quality is a must, such as the hospitality industry, commercial cooking, and other critical applications.

We are looking for an Accountant who will jump in and help to drive our success.  This position will support general accounting, financial reporting, and cost accounting in a manufacturing Environment. You will go beyond traditional accounting to analyze financial and operational data, identify trends, and provide insights that support strategic and operational decisions. This job is right for you if you are a self-starter, are detailed-orientated and have strong analytical abilities. 

 

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze/prepare month-end journal entries
  • Key role in preparing and distributing period end reporting, support schedules, and budget to actual variance analysis
  • Reconcile key balance sheet reserve accounts
  • Assist with cost accounting, variances, cycle count analysis
  • May perform work order job close and analysis
  • Support Accounting Manager with corporate reporting and presentations, and annual budget process
  • Responsible for Fixed Asset and Project accounting
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Assist with development of financial and operational dashboards and reports for management
  • Assist in developing financial policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reports and streamline data flows using advanced Excel or BI tools
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with SOX / 404 internal controls

 

Desired Training, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related equivalent
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred 
  • Analytical and Accurate
  • Excellent written and Verbal communication skills
  • Problem solving and Process improvement mindset
  • ERP experience
  • Strong Excel skills, PowerBI preferred
