Share Email Opening Title Mechanical Engineer  Description Apply knowledge of mechanical engineering expertise in support of system integration/installation definition, design and development, verification methods, sustainment, modeling and simulation, test and evaluation, supportability efforts, interoperability requirements across a wide range of hardware and software systems for ship, shore and mobile based UMCS systems. Development of work packages for strategic planning.  Work Package is defined as (included but is not limited to): GFI packages (Installation Guidance Instructions and Interface Control Documents (ICD) UMCS System of Systems (SoS) System Operational Verification Test (SOVT) plan and matrix for shipboard industrial/stage testing Plan and coordinate environmental and electromagnetic compatibility testing of shipboard systems Establish SWAP-C budgets for Unmanned Aviation Warfare Center (UAWC) and ancillary equipment Create 3D CAD models and drawings for Human Systems Interface (HSI) studies & production planning Subsystem ICDs for interface gaps Trade studies of physical implementation solutions   Position Requirements BS in Mechanical Engineering. Years of Experience:  At least one year of applicable engineering experience. 3-D solid modeling (SolidWorks preferred) is required. Familiarity with metal shop fabrication processes and marine-grade hardware is a plus. Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills are required. Knowledge of ASME Y14.100M drawing standards and ISO 9000 standards is desired.   Salary Range 72K-120K and will be commensurate with experience   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Level of Clearance Required Secret   Amount of Travel Quarterly   About the Organization J.F.
