Share Email Opening Apply Now Title Purchasing Assistant Buyer  Description Position Responsibilities: Have good organizational skills Create purchase orders for all estimators, generator orders, and large project orders Order copper, aluminum, MC & other wire/cable Order devices, conduit, and other items for prefab and jobs as needed Perform prefab invoice approvals from packing slips and purchase orders. Order equipment, tools, & misc. items as directed by Purchasing Manager Process prefab requisitions including verification of pricing and phases Perform variances on all jobs Start and update submittal charts for projects Overseeing and maintaining accurate pricing in our Accubid and estimating programs Obtain quotes from all vendors for yearly purchasing programs Obtain credits for variances over billed & for incorrect prices on program items for prefab stock purchase orders. Get quotes and order large quantity items for division jobs as needed Do releases or revisions to purchase orders Become proficient with our tool and inventory management software, and be able to troubleshoot questions/issues when they arise Organize and oversee tool and stock inventory counts at all divisions Help purchase and manage Muth Electric’s fleet of vehicles and corporate equipment Help maximize space and inventory storage capabilities at our warehouses Work with and advise Warehouse Foreman on policy and procedures when necessary Perform other duties as requested and assigned in a timely fashion   Position Requirements Essential skills and experience: Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word software. Ability to operate most standard office equipment. Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines. Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills. Knowledge of office administration procedures.
