Share Email Opening Apply Now Title Psychosocial Rehabilitation Technician  Category Psychosocial Recovery Program   Description CMCSB is seeking a highly motivated person to provide to provide Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services at OUR House, a psychosocial rehabilitative program located in Grundy, VA. This position will offer help to individuals with Serious Mental Illness and/or Substance Use Disorder to learn or regain skills so that they can be successful and satisfied in the environments of their choice with the least amount of ongoing professional intervention possible. Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services include community living such as housekeeping, shopping, cooking, use of transportation facilities, money management; personal care such as health care, medication management, grooming; socialization to enhance or develop meaningful relationships, recreational and leisure pursuits that contribute to community integration; educational and prevocational activities to include the development of positive work habits; self-advocacy; development of executive function skills such as time management, problem-solving, organization, self-control; and the development of skills to effectively and independently utilize appropriate community resources including benefits, healthcare, housing and spiritual resources.   Position Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in human services is preferred. Good written and oral communication skills. Basic knowledge of mental illness. Effective problem solving and decision-making skills. Willingness to work flexible hours to meet program needs. CMCSB provides mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse treatment services to the residents of Buchanan, Russell, and Tazewell Counties. At the present time, CMCSB operates over twenty locations, to include outpatient offices, mental health recovery programs, group homes and day support programs for intellectually disabled individuals, and a residential alcohol and drug treatment program. In addition, CMCSB has several services that are provided directly in an individual's home or in a supported environment. CMCSB also provides a 24-hour crisis team to assist community agencies and individuals in crisis situations. CMCSB employs approximately 500 employees, which include full-time and part-time employees, as well as individuals receiving services who are employed to work in various day programs.
