HSE Area Advisor- D&D Lloydminster

Located in Lloydminster, AB and working under the direction of the HSE Team Lead,  the HSE Area Advisor ensures operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner by integrating and implementing company and regulatory policies at work and project locations.                                                                                                                                                                                

Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following)

  • Promote Health and Safety programs;
  • Perform regular field safety inspections at work sites;
  • Traveling to various work locations/sites to bring about the awareness of safety and to listen and act on their safety concerns;
  • Communicate safety standards to workers at work site to ensure compliance with Company, Provincial, Federal-Legislation, Industry Standard and IRP’s;
  • Ensure all workers understand their roles with respect to health and safety
  • Review incident investigations conducted by Site Supervisors;
  • Promote the awareness of hazard identification, elimination and control;
  • Ensure all elements of the BSP are met as to maintain COR Compliance;
  • Provide health and safety support to operations relative to regulatory compliance and industry standards;
  • Communicate directly to Operations Manager and General Managers on all safety matters;
  • Remain current and knowledgeable of OH&S, EUB, WCB Regulations and Industry IRP’s in the provinces in which we operate;
  • Create monthly company safety data reports, monthly safety statistics for operators, monthly safety presentations;
  • Responsible for attending a variety of safety meetings conducted by the Prime Contracts.  Some meetings are held to discuss incidents that occur within the organization and the findings of the investigations are discussed;
  • Attend CAODC meetings as a representative for the organization;
  • Responsible for creating Loss Control Alerts for D&D Oilfied rentals and the Parent company, Savanna Energy Services Corp.. 
  • Responsible for researching and bringing awareness of incidents and hazards that take place within the industry and relaying the message to field employees.
