Position Description:

This position leads the strategy, development, and management of all grant-related activities for the organization. This role oversees prospect research, proposal development, grant compliance, and reporting, ensuring strong alignment with organizational priorities and revenue goals. Also, works closely with the Dean of Workforce Development with project management of customized trainings.

  1. Provide leadership to all aspects of current contracted couseling services and Workforce Development grant projects; including administration, personnel, budgets, procurement, reporting, and evaluation.
  2. Lead the full lifecycle of grant activities – from identification, proposal development and partner engagement to award management and closeout.
  3. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and private grant regulations, policies, and reporting requirements.
  4. Collaborate with College leadership and departments to align grant projects with ACC’s strategic and workforce priorities.
  5. Facilitate cross-departmental communication to ensure grant-funded projects complement institutional priorities and avoid duplication of effort.
  6. Prepare, manage, and monitor budgets; ensure fiscal accountability and accurate financial documentation.
  7. Develop data collection systems, performance measures, and evaluation processes to assess project outcomes.
  8. Train and support faculty and staff in grant development, implementation, and reporting procedures.
  9. Foster partnerships with employers, educational institutions, and community organizations to strengthen project impact and workforce development activities.
  10. Direct workforce development activities and provide guidance to the business and industry community in the area of worker retraining, technical skills upgrades and new program development.
  11. Recruit qualified faculty and facilitators that meet the expectation of industry.
  12. Coordinate staff workloads to ensure project deliverables are met.
  13. Represent ACC in statewide networks, consortia, and professional development initiatives related to grant activity.
  14. Identify new funding opportunities and recommend strategies for sustainable resources development.
  15. Presence on the job is an employee’s fundamental obligation. Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is required.
  16. Others duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Position Requirements

Position Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required
  2. Minimum of three years of successful experience with state and federal grants including source location, partner identification, proposal preparation, and all facets of service delivery and records management.
  3. Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with others in a kind and courteous manner.
  4. Understanding of data development and data submission requirements on the local, state, and national levels is a minimum requirement.
  5. Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining strong internal and external partnerships among community college, business and industry, and various governmental and private agencies required.
  6. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources required.
