Description

AREA15 is an immersive entertainment and event destination that blends art, music, and retail in a dynamic environment. We are a hub for creativity, innovation, and unique experiences. Join us and be part of a team that thrives on imagination and passion.

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale core web experiences and internal platforms that drive the AREA15 ecosystem. You'll work across modern React front-ends, robust APIs, data systems, and AWS infrastructure.

This role is ideal for someone who is deeply technical, fast-moving, product-curious, and comfortable building in a creative environment where great engineering meets great experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Build and scale web applications that support guest-facing and internal systems across AREA15's attractions, events, and digital platforms.
  • Lead development in React and modern web architecture (component systems, state management, performance optimization, accessibility).
  • Design and implement APIs (REST/GraphQL, event-driven patterns, auth, versioning, observability).
  • Work with SQL and data models to support reporting, personalization, operational tooling, and analytics.
  • Develop and deploy on AWS, using best practices for security, scalability, cost, and reliability.
  • Partner with product, creative, venue ops, and marketing to translate real-world experience needs into durable software.
  • Contribute to engineering standards, and code quality while still being highly hands-on.
  • Prototype quickly and intelligently - knowing when to explore with speed and when to harden for production
  • Demonstrate ART! (AREA15's service standards) in every guest interaction.
  • Be available to respond to time-sensitive matters.
  • Adhere to department and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional, polished appearance in line with AREA15 standards.
  • Work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
