Social Work p.r.n. is actively recruiting a social worker who wants to support the safety, dignity and access to resources of older adults who have been abused, neglected or exploited.
This is a permanent, full-time MSW position. The social worker will provide supportive counseling and case management, including conducting in-depth assessments, evaluating risk factors, determining safety needs, and conducting safety planning. The social worker becomes an advocate for the client's safety and in navigating various systems, including family court, law enforcement, healthcare providers, legal professionals, community partners and Adult Protective Services.
The clients live in south Brooklyn and some home visits are required. The social worker will work in 2 different offices, in south Brooklyn and in lower Manhattan (no remote work). Work hours are regular business hours Monday through Friday, with no evening or weekend work required.
Salary: $60,000-$65,000
