Program Supervisor II-Rapid Access & Outpatient Therapy *Internal Only* 

Description

The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is seeking a full-time Program Supervisors II to support our Rapid Access and Outpatient Therapy programs. This position involves advanced professional and administrative work, including coordinating and supervising clinical and case management activities, overseeing program staff, ensuring the quality of program services, and fostering collaboration with other divisions and community partners. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records and files, preparing reports, and performing related duties as assigned. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Program Manager, with supervision exercised over subordinate staff.

Essential Functions

Supervises clinical and case management activities; ensures health, safety and welfare of clients; plans, organizes, directs and supervises assigned staff; supervises crisis interventions.

Sets program priorities; monitors and evaluates service delivery in accordance with established guidelines and principles; develops and enforces program policies and procedures.

Assists in the recruitment and selection of program personnel; assigns, directs, trains and inspects the work of staff; disciplines, coaches, counsels and evaluates staff performance; recommends suspensions and termination; develops staff schedules and approves leave.

Conducts meetings to discuss client/program/staff concerns or changes; consults with teams and committees in the planning and development of treatment and discharge plans; coordinates admissions and discharges of clients.

Monitors and audits clinical and medical records and practices for compliance with regulatory, reimbursement and agency standards; reviews documentation for accuracy.

May perform intakes, client assessments and diagnostic interviews.

Provides crisis intervention and prevention services to individuals and families; develops crisis response plans; provides consultation and education to staff and clients.

Consults and coordinates treatment with other service providers and client support system.

Conducts community outreach presentations to local community partners and other service providers.

Reviews, tracks and analyzes reports; prepares and submits reports.

Manages program budgets; reviews accuracy of program and contract billing; reviews service activity logs; submits payroll/timesheets to Finance.

Prepares and distributes correspondence to staff to improve communication and shares important announcements, deadlines, changes, etc.

Serves on a variety of committees as directed; attends and participates in a variety of meetings.

Attends professional conferences and trainings as required.

Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Comprehensive knowledge of services, benefits and programs available for clients and ability to assess and restructure delivery of same to meet client needs; thorough knowledge of principles of behavior management training, crisis intervention and prevention; comprehensive knowledge of State and local licensure requirements, Medicaid regulations, confidentiality and consumer rights; skill in the operation of general and specialized equipment used in the area of assignment; ability to understand, interpret, and relate oral and written instruction; ability to solve problems within scope of responsibility; ability to interpret and apply regulations; ability to maintain detailed records; ability to plan and supervise the work of subordinates; ability to communicate ideas effectively both orally and in writing; ability to establish effective working relationships with associates, subordinates, medical professionals, community partners, clients and the general public.

 

Education and Experience

Master’s degree with coursework in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field and considerable experience providing community-based mental health services including considerable supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements

Licensed as a LCSW, LPC, LCP, LMFT, and/or LSATP. 

Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Starting Salary Range $73,000
