Description

Summary of Role

The Sales Intern is responsible for supporting the Sales Team in generating new business, increasing account engagement, and driving volume growth through structured field activity across the Illinois territory. This role is part of the Acutis Launchpad Internship Program, designed to introduce new graduates to clinical diagnostics sales. Under the supervision of senior sales representatives and leadership, the intern will participate in hands-on training, ride-alongs, prospecting, and client engagement to learn and contribute to Acutis’s commercial initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

The Sales Intern is responsible for the following:

  • Become familiar with and adhere at all times to compliance standards.
  • Support the territory Sales Specialist and senior sales team with account management and new business development.
  • Conduct daily field visits and cold calls within assigned territory.
  • Utilize prospecting data, build target lists, and set qualified appointments.
  • Assist in planning and executing visits to prospective and existing accounts.
  • Present Acutis products and services under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Participate in client meetings, educational presentations, and office workflow discussions.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, meeting notes, and follow-up tasks in HubSpot.
  • Support onboarding of new accounts, including ordering portals, supply setup, and workflow training.
  • Complete required training modules, quizzes, role plays, and weekly 1-on-1 coaching sessions.
  • Represent Acutis professionally during all client interactions, onsite visits, and travel assignments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Compensation Structure:

  • Interns will be eligible for a performance-based compensation structure of $1–$2 per sample, scaled by monthly volume milestones after the initial training month.
 
Position Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or pending graduation in Business, Marketing, Health Sciences, or related field.

 

Experience

  • Experience in customer service, athletics, part-time work, or internship experience preferred.
