Share Email Opening Title Cottage Connect Treatment Counselor – LMHP  Category Counselor - Masters level   Description CMCSB is seeking a center/community-based Licensed Preferred Counselor who will intervene as part of a treatment team serving children/adolescents on a day-to-day basis. Job responsibilities include providing symptom management through short term, resiliency support, community stabilization or mobile crisis services specifically focused on resolution of symptoms and implementation of behavior management. Specific services include clinical assessment, individual, group and or family counseling, skills building activities, participating in treatment teams, community meetings and developing treatment plans with possible 2-6 hours a month on the weekends serving individuals and families.   Position Requirements Master’s degree in a human services field and licensed in the State of Virginia as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT preferred or master’s degree in a human services field and license-eligible in the state of Virginia required. CMCSB provides mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse treatment services to the residents of Buchanan, Russell, and Tazewell Counties. At the present time, CMCSB operates over twenty locations, to include outpatient offices, mental health recovery programs, group homes and day support programs for intellectually disabled individuals, and a residential alcohol and drug treatment program. In addition, CMCSB has several services that are provided directly in an individual's home or in a supported environment. CMCSB also provides a 24-hour crisis team to assist community agencies and individuals in crisis situations. CMCSB employs approximately 500 employees, which include full-time and part-time employees, as well as individuals receiving services who are employed to work in various day programs.
