Description

The Logistics Coordinator oversees inventory and coordinates shipping procedures along with ensuring that all company products are moved from the storage area to the retail point in a safe and timely manner. Job responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day merchandise/shipment activities
  • Coordinate movement of from the storage areas in the warehouse to the recipient
  • Monitor and assist loading and unloading of merchandise when needed
  • Prepare products for shipping purposes
  • Manage documentation associated with shipping processes
  • Manage product inventory for clients and adjust any entries that may need to be regulated
  • Document all actions by handling logs and records and managing information on our CRM that involve client product shipment/pickup details
  • Purchase equipment and supplies to facilitate storage area functions
  • Compile work orders and ensure appropriate compliance
  • Prepare special orders for products not in stock and for customized products for clients
  • Evaluate materials performances to ensure durability and economy
  • Retrieve incoming freight on shipping docks when needed
  • Schedule pickups as needed that come from reps or service members
  • Add/remove/adjust auto pickups for clients
  • Communicate with sales reps regarding shipments/pickups (New orders, Pickup requests, adjustments, etc.)
  • Performs all maintenance service requests, ensuring that work performed in these areas is accomplished efficiently and with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenience.
  • Maintaining inventory system.
  • Organizing the warehouse (with solicited assistance if need be).
  • Coordinate movement of assets and inventory from the storage areas in the warehouse to the laboratory.
  • Monitor and assist loading and unloading of inventory from private and commercial couriers.
  • Manage documentation associated with inventory receiving, logistics supplies etc.
  • Investigate and report warehouse operational discrepancies to management.
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Details

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9AM - 5:30PM

Pay Range: $17 - $19/hour

 
Position Requirements

Education: High School Diploma required

 

Experience:

  • Prior logistics experience preferred.
  • Experience working with laboratory couriers preferred.
  • Experience in laboratory or other clinical setting strongly preferred.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload
  • Good timing keeping, punctuality, and reliability skills

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing or sitting for an extended period
  • Able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Audible recognition of alarms
