Position Summary
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, residents, and staff. This role requires a professional, courteous, and welcoming demeanor to ensure that all guests are greeted promptly and directed appropriately. The Receptionist is also responsible for handling incoming calls, maintaining the front desk area, and providing administrative support in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Key Qualifications
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have at least two (2) years of experience as a receptionist or secretary in a healthcare or office setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency with phone systems, computers, and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Essential Responsibilities
Operate the telephone system efficiently and courteously; route calls and take accurate messages.
Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
Provide clerical and administrative support such as filing, scanning, copying, and data entry.
Maintain an organized and presentable front desk area at all times.
Assist with incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Support other departments with special projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
Work Environment
This position requires consistent interaction with residents, family members, and staff in a professional healthcare environment. The Receptionist plays an important role in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that reflects the facility’s mission to serve America’s heroes with dignity and respect.
