AREA15 is seeking a Decor & Styling assistant to support the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of immersive environments, scenic décor, and live event elements across the district. This hands-on, entry-to-mid-level position works closely with the Fabricator and Lead Maker to bring creative visions to life — from scenic builds and prop finishing to costume prep and show support. The ideal candidate has prior experience in theatrical or themed scenic environments, a strong work ethic, and a passion for creative collaboration.  RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Assist Fabricators and Lead Makers with scenic construction, finishing, and installation tasks. Support scenic painting, basic carpentry, foam work, and general shop duties. Help with prop preparation, costume touch-ups, and environmental décor projects. Perform sewing, crafting, or repair work for event and show elements as needed. Aid in setup and breakdown of event spaces, activations, and immersive installations. Maintain an organized workspace, manage materials, and support inventory tracking. Safely operate hand tools, painting equipment, and sewing machines under supervision. Collaborate with artists, designers, and event producers to ensure creative consistency and high production value. Assist with show running, prop handling, or backstage support during live events when needed. Demonstrate ART! (AREA15's service standards) in every guest interaction. Adhere to department and company policies and procedures. Maintain a professional, polished appearance in line with AREA15 standards. Work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.   Position Requirements QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Applicants must be 21 years of age or older Proof of eligibility to work in the United States Comfortable working in a creative, entrepreneurial start-up environment, introducing new concepts and innovations. 1-2 years of experience in a scenic, theatrical, film, or themed entertainment production environment. Basic knowledge of scenic painting, sewing, and/or prop fabrication. Comfortable using hand tools, paints, adhesives, and general scenic materials. Ability to follow direction, learn new skills, and adapt to changing priorities. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Detail-oriented with a proactive, can-do attitude. Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods during installations. Flexible schedule – some evenings, weekends, and event hours required. Ability to work in all weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, wind, rain, extreme cold. Ability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language. Computer skills in Microsoft applications. (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.) Availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, flashing lights, and smoke.   This position is currently accepting applications.
