Position Type: Part-Time (with potential to grow into Full-Time based on enrollment)
Pay Range: $28.00 per hour (USD)
 

Position Summary

Fusion Academy Lake Forest is seeking an enthusiastic Music and Art Teacher who can inspire creativity and self-expression in students through both visual and performing arts. This role provides a one-to-one teaching experience that blends artistic exploration, technical skill, and mentorship for students in grades 6–12.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized one-to-one instruction in both art (digital art, photography, drawing, design, and creativity) and music (guitar, piano, songwriting, composition, and production).
  • Adapt lessons to meet the unique needs, interests, and learning styles of each student.
  • Create a supportive, engaging, and inclusive classroom that encourages self-awareness and creative problem-solving.
  • Maintain accurate student records and clear, consistent communication with parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the campus community and support Fusion’s mission.
  • Serve as a mentor and positive role model for students, promoting both academic and personal growth.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; teaching credentials a plus.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in both music (instrumental performance—especially guitar and piano, songwriting, and production) and visual arts (digital art, photography, traditional or graphic design).
  • Proficiency in creative and technical tools such as Adobe Suite, and at least two of the following DAWs: ProTools, Logic, or Ableton Live.
  • Additional skills such as Final Cut Pro, computer drafting, or multimedia experience are a plus.
  • Experience working with students who have learning differences or ADHD preferred.
  • Outgoing, organized, and collaborative professional who thrives in a dynamic, student-centered environment.
  • Strong communication, adaptability, and mentoring skills.
