Inventory Control Specialist 

Description

Materials Shipping and Receiving Specialist is responsible for overseeing shipping and receiving items in warehouse including but not limited to:

  • Verifying received items match packing slip
  • Properly protecting material received, marking material with proper identification
  • Ensuring material is stored in designated location
  • Creating location in Epicor when appropriate
  • Responsible for putting together the job kits, which consist of material pulled from inventory; may include cutting wire, printing labels, etc.
  • Ensuring kits are neatly put together, parts protected, counts accurate, kits properly identified
  • Updating inventory database to ensure accuracy
  • Using forklift and other means to move material as needed
  • Ensuring all outgoing material/finished goods are properly marked
  • Taking photos of outgoing finished goods and all incoming RMA’s, as necessary
  • Ensuring material/finished goods are packed using best practices so that they arrive safely to their intended destination
  • Accessing customer portals to print labels and notify customers of shipments as applicable
  • Creating packing slips
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements
  • Degree: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Years of Experience: No specific years of experience required
  • Experience/familiarity with the duties defined above
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience with various shipping methods and the use of various shipping company portals to create shipment labels and schedule pickup
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong desire to learn
