The PREP COOK is responsible for supporting the kitchen by preparing food prior to the cooking stage.
Examples of tasks: Properly measures, portions, and prepares all food items. Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures. Basic prep cooking such as baking, frying, sautéing and steaming associated with food prep, etc.
Must have a demonstrated ability to operate most commercial kitchen equipment, have knowledge of quality food, food preparation, food preservation, be able produce food orders in a commercial or professional kitchen.
