Join Our Team as an Inside Sales Representative - Electrical Industry Preferred - Lexington, KY
We are seeking a motivated and customer focused Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting our sales efforts by building strong relationships with customers, processing orders, and providing exceptional service and product knowledge. Candidates with prior experience in the electrical, lighting, or wholesale distribution industry are strongly preferred.
What You'll Do:
- Manage incoming sales inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits.
- Prepare and process quotes, orders, and returns with accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide technical support and product recommendations based on customer needs.
- Work closely with outside sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain strong product knowledge across electrical, lighting, and related product lines.
- Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships to support continued business growth.
- Track orders and follow up proactively to resolve any issues or delays.
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of inside sales, counter sales, or customer service experience (electrical or wholesale distribution preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., Eclipse, Epicor, or similar). and ability to learn to use data analytical programs such as PHOCAS & Strategic Pricing / SPARXiQ
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college or technical training a plus.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of electrical, lighting, or control products.
- Experience in distribution or wholesale environments.

Physical Working Requirements:
- Work Environment
- Primarily performed in an office setting. May require occasional travel to other company locations, supplier meetings, or industry events, which could involve driving or flying.
- Visual and Auditory Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret documents, spreadsheets, and written communication clearly.
- Ability to hear and communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through written communication.
- Manual Dexterity:
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, office equipment, and tools.
- Ability to manage paperwork and perform data entry efficiently.
