Email Opening Title General Maintenance Technician  Description We are seeking a skilled General Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background, with the ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Essential responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on various systems and equipment. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Perform electrical work, including the use of an ohmmeter for testing circuits. Fabricate and weld components as necessary for repairs or modifications. Execute residential painting tasks to maintain aesthetic standards. Work with logic controllers to monitor and adjust system operations. Supervise maintenance staff as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory management. Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools. Required Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities: Experience in Senior Living a plus; Proven experience in general maintenance or a related field. At least 6 months’ proven experience in facilities coordination or a related field. The ability to lift at least 35 pounds. The ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, as needed. Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical systems. Familiarity with ohmmeters and other testing equipment. Ability to fabricate and weld metal components effectively. Experience in residential painting techniques is preferred. Understanding of logic controllers and their applications in maintenance tasks. Proficient in using CMMS for effective maintenance management. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Why Join Us?
