The Lead Server is responsible for the effective operation of assigned dining rooms, including any additional catering events in association with the Culinary Department. The Lead Server is responsible for directing serving staff and ensuring departmental standards for service are met in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Culinary Department. Full-time positions are offered: Single-only benefits cost $0 per pay!! Benefits on the first day of the month following hire date - including health, dental, and vision benefits Fully paid life insurance and short-term disability insurance Tuition reimbursement and educational assistance Retirement plan with 100% match on up to 6% of salary Twenty-five days of all-inclusive paid time off per year.   Position Requirements EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent, or in process.   EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: One year of experience in the food service industry is preferable. Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations.   Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures; Serv Safe Safety and Sanitation Certification required and/or received within the first 6 months of accepting the position. Knowledge of food service equipment and cleaning agents. Knowledge of computers desirable, with emphasis on word processing programs.  General knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) and departmental software as required. Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with residents, staff, and visitors.   PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, i.e., standing, bending, stooping, and lifting 25 lbs.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   Salary $15.00   About the Organization Pennswood Village is a nationally respected Senior Living Community (CCRC) for people 65 and over.
