Share Email Opening Title High School and Admissions Outreach Coordinator  Category Technician   Description Position Title: High School and Admissions Outreach Coordinator Reports To: Director of Admissions Position Status: Full-Time, 37.50 hours per week, 12 months per year, Flexible/Alternative Schedule, Distribution of hours based on institutional needs, 1950 Annual Hours Classification/Points: I, 1070 Bargaining Unit/Division: Michigan Education Association, Education Support Personnel, Division II Position Description: Serves as coordinator between ACC and local high schools assisting dual enrolled and EMC students. Disseminates ACC educational information and benefits to increase enrollment in college programs. Supports students using various learning technologies such as Online and Video Conferencing and to other college resources that support success and completion. Position Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Liaison for dual enrollment and EMC students by facilitating partnerships with local K-12 administrators. Works with prospective students on alignment from high school to college. Market ACC’s programs by attending career fairs or other community events. Connect students to tutoring, success seminars, workshops and other college resources. Provide placement testing to students at partner high schools as needed. Assist Testing Center with proctoring of Dual Enrollment/EMC students’ exams as needed Coordinate with partner high schools and bookstore to ensure timely delivery of DE/EMC student textbooks. Assist partner high schools in coordinating with Michigan Department of Education regarding DE/EMC issues. Publicize and promote Video Conferencing, Online, and Remote course options to current and potential partner high schools. Promote initiation of and participation in Early Middle College to our partner high schools. In direct coordination and consultation with the Vice President of Instruction will coordinate with college instructors and department chairs in development of potential new (or modification of existing) courses to provide specifically to partner high schools. Keep lines of communication open with partner high schools regarding all aspects of DE/EMC student issues. Presence on the job is an employee’s fundamental obligation. Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is required. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.   Position Requirements Position Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of three years of relevant work experience required. Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with others in a kind and courteous manner. Experience presenting to groups required. Computer and organizational skills required, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, and other remote learning experience preferred. Ability to follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and complete work in an accurate and timely fashion. Experience working with high schoolers, first generation college students and/or non-traditional students preferred.
