Executive Vice President - Client Services 


Position Mission

Under general direction, the Executive Vice President of Client Services will lead the identification, cultivation and retention of client relationships needed to meet planned growth and revenue levels through direct engagement in the marketplace, and by developing, managing, and mentoring a strong Client Services team.

Primary & Essential Responsibilities

Hire, train, manage, and mentor Client Services staff to facilitate extending WECC relationships deep into our clients’ organizations.

  1. Develop and manage successful client working relationships, ensuring, in collaboration with other WECC business units, a high level of service quality and client satisfaction.
  2. Ensure clients’ needs are heard, directed to the appropriate WECC business unit(s) to be addressed and, when appropriate, internally escalated within WECC to facilitate timely resolution of client issues.
  3. Provide input and recommendations to WECC staff where appropriate to facilitate the resolution of client issues.
  4. Measure and report on client satisfaction.
  5. Establish and maintain current and prospective client intelligence as part of territory and account planning.
  6. Develop, maintain, regularly update and improve information tracking in a client database using WECC’s CRM.
  7. Lead the business development process by identifying new opportunities, facilitating WECC’s internal review and decision on selection of opportunities, and managing the preparation and delivery of proposals to respond to opportunities with new and existing clients.
  8. Assist with defining client needs with respect to the start-up and implementation of WECC services, ensuring, in collaboration with other WECC business units, that delivery meets or exceeds client expectations.
  9. Lead the sales and marketing aspects of WECC’s product management process, including branding, and developing sales and marketing plans for each WECC product, as appropriate.
  10. Lead WECC’s efforts to promote and market the organization and its products  to clients and prospective clients via targeted marketing, media, trade events, and other means.
  11. Develop, manage, and report sales and business development metrics.
  12. Demonstrate the mindsets and behaviors that support the mission, vision, brand, and core values of WECC.
Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field of study required. Graduate Degree in business, engineering, economics, marketing, energy analysis or related field of study preferred
  2. Ten  (10) years experience in the management of energy efficiency programs, including prior experience with:
    • Marketing and sales
    • Business development
    • Budget management
    • Sales Forecasting
    • Account management
  3. Eight (8) years client management experience including demonstrated success in managing expectations and problem resolution. 
  4. Proven experience in supervision/performance management staff, including off-site staff and/or management of multiple field offices.
  5. Demonstrated leadership, supervision/ mentoring, and team building skills
  6. Superior time management, project management, planning, decision-making and organizational skills.
  7. Excellent written/ verbal communication and listening skills.
  8. Demonstrated conflict resolution skills.
  9. Track record of successful contract negotiation experience.
