General Services Supervisor- INTERNAL ONLY 

Description

The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is seeking a General Services Supervisor. The incumbent is responsible for providing moderate technical work assisting in the supervision and managing of facility maintenance, building security, safety, parking, housekeeping services and RBHA property, maintaining and tracking vehicle and property information in the fleet software system and FMX software, fleet vehicles, superviwsong housekeeping and security employees, and related work as apparent or assigned.  Work is performed under the general direction of the General Services Program Manager II.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate maintenance, repais, and upgrades for office spaces
  • Liaise with vendors for cleaning, security, and building services
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Maintain vendor relationships
  • Coordinate office moves or space planning
  • Compliance & Documentation
  • Maintaid records related to inspections and service
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations
  • Support audits and reporting requirements
  • Coordinate coverage for reception desk at 5th and Cary St buildings
  • Monitors maintenance request software
  • Collects and compiles statistical data to prepare monthly reports
  • Provides training for other administrative staff on various softward packages; troubleshoots hardware, software and office
 
Position Requirements

Bachelors's degree with considerable experience working in community-based mental health services including considerable supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, proficient in office software and management systems, problem solving mindset and attention to detail and ability to work independently and with other Teams. Ability to formulate comprehensive operational policies and procedures; ability to operate a variety of office and data processing equipment; ability to plan and manage the work of assigned personnel; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, associates, clients, vendors and the general public.

Physical Requirements

This is sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects; work requires fingering, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels, and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operation of motor vehicles or equipment, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is not subject to adverse environmental conditions.

Special Requirements

Valid driver’s license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Starting Salary Range $70,937.99
