The Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist plays a vital role in attracting, hiring, and welcoming top talent into our organization. This position manages the full-cycle recruitment process for positions and partners with hiring managers to ensure timely, strategic hiring decisions. Success is measured through key performance indicators such as time to hire, time to fill, new hire retention, candidate quality, and onboarding satisfaction. The Specialist also leads a seamless onboarding experience that helps new hires feel connected, informed, and prepared from day one

Position Requirements
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for open positions, including job postings, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer processes
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and align recruitment strategies accordingly
  • Track and report key recruitment metrics such as time to hire, time to fill, and retention
  • Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of the onboarding process to ensure a welcoming and informative experience for new hires
  • Communicate regularly with new employees and managers throughout the pre-hire and onboarding period to promote engagement and retention
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and employment laws throughout recruitment and onboarding activities
  • Represent the organization at job fairs, hiring events, and workforce development functions to actively promote open positions and build talent pipelines
  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with community organizations, schools, and workforce agencies to support inclusive and mission-aligned recruitment efforts
  • Support recruitment marketing efforts to promote the employer brand and attract diverse talent
  • Identify opportunities to streamline recruitment and onboarding processes for greater efficiency and consistency
  • Assist with orientation sessions, new hire paperwork, and follow-up activities as needed
  • Maintain accurate and current HRIS applicant data base
  • Data entry for employee record creation and edits
  • Maintain recruiting metrics (cost per hire etc.)
  • Ensure regulatory aspects of the full cycle recruitment process is compliant with federal and state legislation
