Description

JOB SUMMARY:    Perform general office clerical tasks guided by detailed and specific instruction. Responsible for first contact with all consumers and outside prospects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Responsible for effective desk workflow for new and existing consuemrs
  2. Researches and maintains consumer insurance information, as needed
  3. Responsible for fee collections and payments
  4. Completes data entry for consumer billing
  5. Maintain, monitor and update consumer records
  6. Responsible for fulfilling outside records requests
  7. Assists with receptionist duties (i.e., answering phones, greeting customers)
  8. Performs other clerical duties (i.e., typing, filing, distributing mail, providing information, etc.)

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS: N/A

 

 
Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:  Knowledge of office practices and procedures.  Skilled in word processing, spreadsheets and other computer applications.  Ability to perform basic accounting functions.  Effective oral and written communication skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED + 1 year of related clerical experience. Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets and other computer applications. Ability to pass skills test as applicable.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED:  N/A

MANDATED PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: Evening and Weekend hours required.

Schedule variable (Nights and one weekend day required)
