Major responsibilities include (not all inclusive): Community Outreach Goals: Have a positive impact in communities throughout the year (from time of outreach launch for one calendar year) that will serve as models for other communities that are facing similar drug issues. Increase capacity by increasing the number of public-private partnerships in each NCOE community to collaborate on efforts to reduce substance misuse costs and consequences. Increase in community members’ awareness of the scope of substance misuse-related problems inlocal communities. Increase in engagement by educators, parents, and other caregivers in using science-based prevention materials to prevent substance use or misuse. Objectives: Connect DEA field offices with the communities they serve. Provide DEA leadership with the ability to bring together disparate sectors of local communities, bridging the gap between law enforcement and public health. Partner with community-based prevention stakeholders to increase community awareness and readiness. Support local drug-free community coalitions and other prevention providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to drug use and misuse prevention and education. Raise awareness on local drug threats and over time change attitudes to reduce drug demand, use, and misuse through increased collaboration and prevention education at the local level Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, Organizational Development or other related Field Masters Degree Preferred 5 years of experience managing complex training programs Law enforcement leadership experience preferred 5 years of training development, facilitation, and/or community partnerships and outreach experience Suitability for personnel security clearance At Interactive Government Holdings, Inc.
