Share Email Opening Title 090 Slots Manager  Location Cedar Lakes Casino   Description POSITION SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION: Slot Manager is responsible for overall slot operations to ensure maximum profit and guest service. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS RESPONSIBILITIES: Has the ability to perform all functions of supervised positions. Establishes and implements new policies and procedures and makes changes to existing policies and procedures as necessary. Authorizes jackpot payouts. Provides complimentary services to guests. Orders supplies and equipment. Directs the activities of slot shift supervisors, slot technicians and slot attendants. Administers the overall operation of the Department in accordance with approved Policies & Procedures. Reviews and checks all operating activities to assure that department control and conduct are in accordance with established policies and practices. Provides roper security and accountability of company funds entrusted to the Department. Recommends changes in the physical layout of slot machines. Determines manpower requirements and establishing or approving shift schedules. Inspects all equipment and areas the Department is responsible for on a regular basis. Assists in forecasting for Operation’s budgeting. Prepares required reports and maintains necessary records. Recommends changes for personnel hiring, promotion, demotion and termination. Recommends wage and salary adjustment for personnel within established limits. Approves regular vacations, leaves of absence, and payroll advances. Greets guests and sees that deserving players are properly hosted. Handles guest complaints. Maintains Weekly payroll, financial reports, employment activity records and other requested reports for management. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Is sensitive to Native American Culture. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Performs other duties as assigned.     Position Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Previous supervisory and slot experience. Excellent time management, organizational, public relations and communications skills. Ability to resolve conflicts efficiently and professionally. Strong math skills Ability to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays. Must meet State Compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check, and submit to random drug testing. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physically capable of remaining on feet for long periods of time. Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment. EDUCATION AND SKILLS Education Required: Associate’s Degree (two-year college or university) in Business Management, Accounting or related. Education Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree (four-year college or university). Experience: Three or more years’ experience in Casino Slot department. A combination of education and experience may be considered as a substitute for degree requirement.
