Project Coordinator 

Description

The Project Coordinator at SSLC will provide administrative support to our Project Managers on commercial millwork projects. This individual will be responsible for job purchasing plans, work orders, tracking inventory, job sheets and follow up. The position requires a high proficiency in Microsoft products as a good majority of the work is done in Microsoft and our inventory management system.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Coordinate Project Schedules
    • Maintain 13-week schedule for production
    • Communicate 6-week look ahead for drafting priorities
    • Produce Project Schedules for use with customers and vendors
  • Vendor Relationships
    • Understand Vendor's processes and needs
    • Communicate schedules and confirm lead-times
    • Determine purchasing plan to accommodate project/shop schedules
  • PM Support
    • Review submittal drawings for accuracy
    • Manage samples and track status
    • Maintain product data sheets and project closeout documents
  • Project Tracking
    • Understand status of project financials related to material costs
    • Review estimates to actual cost of materials and communicate changes

The successful Project Coordinator is a self-starter with a knack for following up and pushing tasks across the finish line. While this individual must be able to take direction, he or she must be able to prioritize and work independently. Organization and high attention to detail are key characteristics of the successful Project Coordinator.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft
  • Highly organized
  • High attention to detail
  • Effective communication and time management skills
  • High School Diploma

Preferred:

  • Associates or higher
