Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing a number of different types of construction projects. Will lead the project from initiation to close, hiring, working with vendors, and tracking equipment and materials. The PM is knowledgeable about regulations, permits, and project management methodology. May require local travel to construction sites.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and supervise all aspects of construction services. Work includes the design, procurement, shipment, pre-construction, and construction services necessary to meet the following requirements:
- Compliance with local building codes.
- Procure, manage all equipment, labor, and materials necessary to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Analyze monthly construction schedule updates; develop progress payments based on schedule updates; develop and implement recovery schedules.
- Responsible for implementing the preconstruction, construction, commissioning, and project closeout phases with a strong emphasis on establishing and maintaining project controls and completing projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Education & Skills Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in building construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture plus 5 years of experience in project management within construction
OR
10 years of experience with no college degree
- US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) experience
- PMP or PMI preferred.
- Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
- Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs.
- High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
- Strong leadership and management skills
- US Citizen; Must be able to pass drug test and background check.
*The position is a hybrid role that will go onsite as needed and remote and will generally encompass a standard work week spanning Monday through Friday.

Physical Work Environment:
Construction or office setting, must have the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for longs periods of time, lift and hold up to 50 lbs., talk, hear and sit.
Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site to view construction activity in all types of weather. Subject to hot, cold, humid and wet conditions depending on location.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other business machines. Use hands to finger, handle, and feel.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk varying distances. At times climb ladders or pick up materials.
