Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

About the Role

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a vital part on our Finance team. You’ll help ensure our operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines. Your work will directly support our ability to serve our patients and communities with excellence.

What You'll Do

General responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain awareness of Agency programs, services, and activities
  • Assist in ensuring the accounts payable system is up to date and accurately reflects agencies obligations.
  • Facilitate the accurate processing of payroll and related tax reporting and other related communications.
  • Make timely bank deposits and monitor revenue cycle ensuring adequate cash flow. 
  • Assist in the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and internal analysis of financial information.
  • Compile and analyze financial information in preparation of general ledger entries.
  • Assist in the closing of the month-end and year-end closing of the books of record.
  • Assist in the annual audit preparation and process. 
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, financial analysis, and other required reporting requirements. 
  • Assist in the compilation and analysis of data that facilitates the preparation of the annual Medicaid and Medicare Cost Reports.
  • Assist with the required tracking and reporting related to both State and Federal Grants.
  • Champion’s efforts related to 340b program to ensure the agency is financially optimizing its opportunity to capture pharmacy revenue while complying with all laws and regulations of the program. 
  • Assist with procurement processes including the analysis of costs and providing recommendations to ensure optimal value of goods and services purchased.
  • Assists other departments with accounting questions or concerns.
  • Maintains open and frequent communication with the Accounting Manager and Chief Financial Officer while providing recommendations on improvements to internal controls, accounting procedures, and/or other systems that enhance the Finance Department.
  • Participate in internal ad hoc meetings or workgroups as needed. 
  • Attend external meetings and conferences as needed for professional development and on behalf of the agency.

Position Requirements

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, payroll software, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic healthcare setting
