Growing credit union (banking) on Long Island is seeking a driven and results-oriented manager for the Collections Department. This individual is responsible for managing all aspects of the collections cycle for a team. The Collections Manager maintains accountability for compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies governing our industry. Responsibilities include:
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years Collections experience in a management capacity • Proven track record of increasing recoveries with consumer banking products/mortgages/autos and ability to quantify/track results • Develop, mentor, and motivate staff to reach goal targets • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Superior communication, interpersonal, and analytical/problem solving skills • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and PC platform including intermediate Excel skills
