The Impact You'll Have:

Develop traffic signing, pavement marking, roadway lighting, traffic signal system design, plan development, and maintenance of traffic plans; perform field data collection visits and inventory in-place devices and traffic infrastructure; collect existing conditions observations at the project locations and perform site studies like horizontal curve ball-banking; develop CAD basefiles, details, standard plans, roadway layouts, and other project plansheets; use Mictostation/Geopak, Open Roads Designer, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D to draft and model designs and prepare plans; produce biddable, buildable plan sets for construction; perform detailed quality checks; create and populate signing tabulations spreadsheets for inclusion in the project plans; measure quantities and identify project pay items for inclusion in a Summary of Estimated Quantities table; incorporate comments and redlines from internal staff and clients; follow Alliant’s comment incorporation and quality management plan process, ensuring all comments are incorporated correctly; participate in workload and scheduling discussions. On-site position with hybrid opportunities. 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related engineering degree.

Requires 6 months of experience with the following:

  • MicroStation/Geopak or AutoCAD;
  • Roadway design or construction;
  • Using Microsoft Excel in engineering functionality.

Wage Range: $72,000-$78,000/year
