The Impact You'll Have:

As the Director of Landscape Architecture, you will spearhead our business development initiatives and contribute significantly to the overall growth of the team. You will work closely with our clients, developers, counties and other municipalities to develop plans, manage the design process and lead production efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead client outreach for new project marketing
  • Create marketing plans and assist in proposal writing
  • Manage and assist in the development of complete project documents that include urban design, mixed-use, commercial, multi-family and single-family developments.
  • Review and interpret regulatory codes, ordinances, and comprehensive plans
  • Review and analyze land features relating to opportunities and constraints for development
  • Prepare due diligence analysis, land development concepts, design development plans and graphic illustrations using both digital and hand drawn formats
  • Guide landscape architects and civil engineers to develop and refine design solutions
  • Lead project meetings with staff, clients, & regulatory agencies
  • Oversee the editing of technical plans, details, and specifications

Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience in business development, project management and staff mentoring and training
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading a Landscape Architecture department
  • Strong design and critical thinking abilities
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture
  • 8+ years designing private and public sector projects
  • Professional registration (FL)
  • Excellent writing and oral presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and Client relationship building skills
  • Strong aptitude with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
  • Expert technical knowledge of landscape architectural site development elements and materials
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic
