Email Opening Title EMT/ Paramedic 7 Nights on 7 Nights Off   Position ER Tech- EMT   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Description The staff ER Tech at Patients will be responsible for: 1. Providing, assisting and initiating care of emergency patients. 2. Meeting and maintaining the guiding principles of care for Patients Emergency Room 3. Participates in activities to plan, measure, assess and improve the quality of patient care. 4. Assists in carrying out orders by physician accurately and efficiently 5. Identifying emergencies and providing necessary intervention 6. Shows initiative and self-direction in providing patient care and support to other co-workers. 7. Communicating appropriately with patients and co-workers 8. Showing knowledge when collaborating with physicians, nurses and other clinical facilities in making decisions about patient care.   Position Requirements <p>The requirements for employment with Patients Emergency Room are:</p><p>* Successful completion of clinical orientation with proven capabilities in skill, knowledge base and vision of Patients Emergency Room* Certification of Emergency Medical Technician license with BLS, ACLS and PALS or proof of experience as Critical Care Emergency Room Technician&bull; National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Certification (unless valid proof of experience) or Texas Department of Health EMT Certification&bull; Comprehensive knowledge and understanding, as outlined in clinical competencies review, of: </p><p style="margin-left:40px">Age-specific care of the emergency patient</p><p style="margin-left:40px">Understanding of family dynamics and appropriate interaction</p><p style="margin-left:40px">Clinical competencies in abnormal lab or test values, medications and interactions</p> Must hold EMT License   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
