SUMMARY

Under the supervision and guidance of the assigned Lending Manager; coordinates the preparation of loan documents for closing consumer, commercial, and real estate loans to ensure full compliance and quality of documentation for funding. This position requires employee to work on-site.

QUALIFICATIONS |EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE:

  • Candidate must be at a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of banking experience or equivalent years of relevant work experience in office administration is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, typing, 10-key and utilization of the internet is required.
  • Intermediate mathematical aptitude and ability to calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages is required.
  • Willingness to demonstrate Core 5 values with customers and coworkers.  

HOURS OF AVAILABILITY:  Regularly Scheduled Hours / Week:  40hr | Monday – Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm | *Extended working hours may be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  1. Provide administrative support to Loan Officer (i.e. scheduling appointments, sorting/distributing mail, answering phones, etc.). Resolve customer inquiries within prescribed authority, and assist coworkers, as needed.
  2. Responsible for ensuring loan packages are kept organized and properly documented. Ensuring discrepancies are identified and quickly resolved.  
  3. Obtain credit reports on loan applicants, order title work, UCC searches, appraisals, and other documents as needed. 
  4. Conduct detailed examination of all loan documents to ensure they are complete and accurate. Verify accuracy and make necessary updates (i.e. pay transactions, loan amendments, etc.) within core banking system. 
  5. Review loan approvals and policies and procedures prior to approval and borrower loan closing.
  6. Send the complete loan package for booking and record all appropriate collateral documents.
  7. Create and maintain support loan files by working loan exception reports, photocopying pertinent documents, verifying insurance documents, and requesting missing documents. Ensure scanned documents are clear and legible.
  8. Disburse loan funds after closing and image loan documents within established timeline.
  9. Prepare correspondence, loan documents, forms, and statistical information.
  10. Research and prepare weekly past due loans and collateral exception reports, HMDA reporting, and quarterly criticized loan report.
  11. Cross-sell bank products and services, coordinate meetings with other lines of business, and service the banking needs of the customer.
  12. Required to gain regulatory knowledge including but not limited to: privacy, safeguarding customer information, Regulation B, Equal Credit Opportunity, Truth in Lending, CRA, HMDA, and flood regulations.
  13. Process and update outstanding exception items on loans.
  14. Adhere to strict privacy regarding customer account information. Maintain customer confidence and protect bank operations by keeping information confidential.
  15. Operate computer, telephone, keyboard, scanner, and copier. Proficiency with internal bank software, FCM/ImageCentre, and Loan Operations Platform will be required. 
  16. Able to hold a valid driver's license, have access to reliable transportation for arriving to work on time, work on-site at assigned location, and a willingness to extend working hours when necessary.
  17. Additional duties may be assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee must possess sufficient mobility to work in and move about in a standard office setting and sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment. Substantial time may be spent on the telephone and working on a computer, sitting and/or standing. The employee must have the ability to hear and articulate well enough to carry on a normal conversation, both in person and over the telephone. Visual abilities required by this job include the ability to read materials in either a printed format or on a computer screen. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 10 pounds.

MENTAL DEMANDS
The duties of this position require the ability to maintain attention to detail and complete work projects accurately in a short amount of time, despite interruptions. The employee must be able to interact with customers/coworkers in a calm and patient manner and maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations. The employee must be able to use basic mathematical skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing numbers. The position also requires the ability to read and interpret documents, articulate detailed information, and draft routine written communications, instructions and/or presentations.
