Customer Engineer II 



Rapidly growing technology firm seeks an experienced Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange engineer with specific skills in client migrations, with good working knowledge of networking technology and configurations, and with excellent communication and people skills.  This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the nation’s largest providers of IT support/outsourcing for small and medium size businesses. Successful candidates will be flexible, energetic and eager to learn and contribute.

General Purpose:

The Customer Engineer will implement technology as part of the regional operations team.  This position is a multi-faceted and dynamic opportunity for a hands-on technical engineer that is looking to be involved in all aspects of technology. The position involves resource and time management for projects, system analysis, system consultation, design for new clients, and third tier support for junior staff. The individual should be a detail and process oriented person, as well as possess solid problem solving skills.  In addition, the Customer Engineer must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to keep our clients, management, and other engineers informed.




  • Considerable knowledge of network and desktop operating systems, specifically Windows 2000, 2003, and 2008 Server and Windows 2000/XP/Professional/Vista/7, as well as Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007, 2010
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco/Juniper/Sonicwall firewalls, switches, and routers
  • Designing, implementing, and trouble-shooting multi-site Active Directory environments


Additional experience in the following areas highly desired:

  • Experience with Citrix implementations and support
  • Experience with VMware design, implementation, and support


Position Requirements



  • Bachelors degree in information technology or closely related field
  • 3-5 years experience supporting local area network connected devices
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • MCSE, CCA and/or CCNA desirable
