Position Summary: To assist in the day-to-day accounting functions of the facility in accordance with current acceptable accounting and cost reimbursement principles relating to long-term care operation, prepare residents’ monthly statements and other duties as may be initiated by the Chief Financial Officer.

Essential responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Collect, review, and confirm department billing data to prepare accurate monthly billing statements for our residents efficiently and on time.
  • Process payments and deposits daily.
  • Process monthly ACH payments.
  • Reconcile bank deposits and accounts.
  • Deposit and accurately record donations.  
  • Accounts payable, responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Support medical billing activities.
  • Work with and support billing contractor on accurate and timely Medicare billing, payments, and collections.
  • Review receivables and work with residents for timely payments.
  • Review resident construction contracts, tracking contract details to correctly bill fees in accordance with the contract.
  • Assistance with annual financial audit.
  • Some general office support duties, which include filing and office organization.as needed and assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or related accounting roles
  • Must have experience with and be comfortable using accounting software.
  • Must have ability to learn and embrace new technologies, new systems, and processes.
  • Must be able to adapt easily to change.
  • Must have strong customer service skills, be approachable with a helpful and patient demeanor.
  • Must enjoy working as part of a team and contributing to the department’s shared goal of providing a high level of customer service to our residents and business support within the organization.
  • Shows initiative, resourcefulness, collaboration, kindness. Has high attention to detail with a passion for excellence at every level of work.
  • Experience in Senior Living a plus.
